Architectural photography – Umeda Sky Building

The Umeda Sky Building was probably the most recognizable landmarks around Umeda before the completion of Grand Front Osaka which is walking distance from it.

The original plan was suppose to be double in size and build of what it looked like today.

This building project was started in the 80s but revised due to  Japan economic bubble burst of the 1980s.

It was completed in 1993 with half of what it should be. Back then it was indeed very posh and futuristic in design.

Outdoor Photography – Contrast of Light and Darkness

The Osaka Bay area can offer some good outdoor photography

Even when during cloudy days

Wait for that ray of sunlight shining through in-between layers of clouds

Those buildings on the right are Nanko ATC , Cosmo Tower and INTEX Osaka where Japan will be hosting the G20 Summit & Ministerial Meetings for their first time.

Osaka is getting busy and crowded

Port of Kobe

Had a walk along Port of Kobe.

Wanted to capture images of this area with a different perspective

In the back ground is the iconic Kobe Meriken Park Oriental hotel

This young couple provided such warm atmosphere with multi-color light reflection on the wide-angel lens (16mm)  as I was shooting almost straight into the direction of the sun.

And street art with timely message for our age of social media – “LIKES” vs “LOVE”
